Celebrating Excellence in Highland Tourism

Each year, the Highland tourism community comes together to recognise outstanding achievement at the HITA Awards. More than just an evening of celebration, it’s a moment to reflect, connect, and take pride in the people and businesses that make tourism in the Highlands truly exceptional.

Created by the industry, for the industry, the HITA Awards are led by a dedicated volunteer board of directors, respected leaders from across the Highlands and Islands. Their passion and commitment have shaped HITA into one of the region’s most prestigious events.

Entries for the 2026 Awards are now closed, and judging is currently underway. The shortlist will be announced in July, with shortlisted businesses gaining a valuable mark of excellence that can be leveraged across marketing, media, and commercial activity. Category winners will also be automatically shortlisted for VisitScotland’s national Thistle Awards.

Winners will be revealed at our Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony, taking place at the Kingsmills Hotel, Inverness, on Friday 9 October.
