Best Business Event

The Best Business Event Category is a National only Award. Entries can only be submitted through the Scottish Thistle Awards website.

This award celebrates outstanding business events that create a positive impact — for people, communities, the economy and the environment. Whether it's a small team incentive or a large international conference, we want to recognise events that inspire change, share knowledge, and leave a lasting legacy.

We welcome applications from events of all sizes and types, including corporate meetings, conferences, incentives, and congresses. We are especially interested in those that reflect Scotland’s Journey to Change, contribute to the National Strategy for Economic Transformation, and support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Who should enter?

Organisers, intermediaries, owners of business events such as Professional Conference Organisers (PCOs), venues, hotels and suppliers to the business events sector. Venues and intermediaries  should submit on behalf of or in conjunction with their clients where appropriate. Please note that the event must have taken place within the time period from 1st April 2025 – 31st March 2026 and outcomes should be known at the time of submission. 

Please note those not eligible to enter: Christmas Party Night programmes, Awards Dinners and/or standalone Gala Dinners as part of a wider programme,  Corporate AGMs, B2C exhibitions, B2B conferences and business events with no in-person element (100% online).
